While I was snoooooooooooozing……………..

DSCN0131Hello all!  It’s the Jessmeister here!  Sooooooooooooo pleased to be communing with my adoring public again.  Yes, it’s been a while, but it’s the quality not the quantity.  I’ve been sooooooooooooo busy.  Sooooooooooo much to do, sooooooooooo little time.  You know how it is?  Well, unless you’re a doggie diva like me, you probably don’t.  So let me explain…

You see, while I love telling you all about my life and loves: tennis balls; food; more food; going for walkies; the Jessiemobile; going to the beach; the odd tasty doggie geezer; how generally excited about everything I am; and – oh yes – my humans, I s’pose, all this blogging can make me a l’il young girl doggie diva like me a teensy-weensy bit snooooooooozy.  In fact, today, I’ve got my very snooooooooooooooozy tail on.  Just flicking away gently, it is.  And, when I say snooooooooooooozy, I mean – what’s the word?  Oh yes, there it is, snooooooooooooooooozy.  That’s the one.  Yaaaaaaaaaawn.  Oh, I do apologise, but I can’t help it.  Snooooooooooooozy, don’tcha know.  I may have mentioned that in passing.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that, while I try to keep all my readers posted and as up-to-date as possible, the pressures of dictating my posts to my man human (or my PA, as I prefer to call him) while I’m lying on the settee in the warm can make me get a bit on the tired side.  It’s all that brain work, you see?  Brain work also means I’m likely to need a snack, or two, as well.  Not while I’m napping, of course!  That’s silly.  But just before, making my tummy all heavy and then….  Not everyone can appreciate the pressures placed upon an artist like myself.  I mean the human just has to type away on the ol’ laptop.  It’s me that has to think it all up.  So, with all this mountain of work that I have to do, I sometimes need a snooze.  Of course, sometimes that’s not enough for a busy gal like myself, so I then need a nap as well.  And, when things get really, really, really busy I might need to have a sleep after my snooze and my nap.  It can get a bit complicated and it can sometimes get confusing if you take a nap before you’ve had a snooze and so on.  But, snoozes, naps and sleeps are perfectly reasonable – a necessity even – for a busy doggie like me.  I’m sure you’ll agree.

Astonishingly, I’ve heard that some of you humans believe that all of this shut-eye means us doggies are a bit lazy and work-shy.  I mean, it’s downright hurtful having our contribution to the GDP (Gross Doggie Product) questioned in this way.  In short, nothing could be further from the truth.  You see, for us doggies snoozes, naps and sleeps are part of the job description.  Snoozing, napping and sleeping is right up there on my CV, along with eating, paddling in my little pool playing with my rubber ducks and all my various other pursuits.  If we didn’t rest the old eyeballs so much you humans would be going on about us doggies breaching our contracts.  And that wouldn’t do, would it?  So for me, snoozing is work and no doggie works harder than I doYou could say that I’m a work, or should that be a snooze-aholic.  In fact, I work so hard snoozing, napping and sleeping – when I’m not running around and playing or eating, obviously – that I should be claiming overtime.  Now that’s an idea.  More treats maybe?

So if in future you think I’m taking too long to write a blog-post, just remember that I’m probably very busy working having a snooze.  Yaaaawwwn.  Is that the time?  Well, I s’pose it must be time for another snooze…

Till next time.

Love, Jessie xx..

P.S.  I found my humans through Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.  You can see other doggie divas that are looking for a nice, loving home where they can snooze, nap or sleep to their hearts content at www.battersea.org.uk .
