Jessie’s Second Ever Blog Post

Hello all, it’s Jessie again.  Hope you’re well.  I am.  Today, I’ve got my happy tail on. It’s gently wagging away very nicely, thanks very much.  My two humans and I have just come back from our morning exertions in the local park.  It’s very rare for me not to be impatient to get there, the word ‘enthusiastic’ doesn’t quite cover it.  Today was no exception.  My two humans, who aren’t really morning people, often say that I shouldn’t get so excited.  Don’t get excited!  Well, if you don’t want me to be so excited, don’t make everything sooooooo exciting!!!  That’s the answer, isn’t it?  It’s not my fault if everywhere I look the said ‘everywhere’ is crammed jam-packed full of things of different shapes, sizes, colours and smells waiting for a young adventurer like me to explore.  ‘To boldly go’ and all that sort of thing (apologies to those of you who don’t like split infinitives but it’s a quote, don’tcha know?).  Just when you think that there is already more excitingness than you can shake a stick at there are all these exciting humans and my fellow doggies and all the other creatures to meet and have a good chinwag with.  Exciting is nice.

Jessie’s First Ever Blog Post!

Hello, my name is Jessie.  I’ve lived with my two humans now for over 365 sleeps now.  I think that’s just over a year in human speak.  My two are okay and not bad to live with.  Thankfully, they aren’t too stupid and they  are open to being trained.  Obviously, I have to be patient and gentle with them and – I’m happy to say – we’re getting results.  They are learning to let me off the lead a lot more so that I can stretch my legs a bit.  The deal is that I have to go back to them when they call me.  Fair enough!  My two have also learnt that, if I’m going to ‘heel’ when we go for walkies, they need to be less protective of the doggie treats.  A lot, lot, lot less protective.  I want more, more, more treats!  The very health conscious amongst you need not worry.  I like to exercise very, very much so I burn off the calories.  I’m as fit as fiddle.  In fact, modesty prevents me from saying that I look in excellent shape.  But, if modesty didn’t prevent me, I would say that I’m in that thing that is even better than excellent shape.  But modesty  does prevent me, so I won’t.  I also notice that my humans seem to look a bit more, uhm, shall we say sleek than before I came to live with them.  Politeness stops me from saying that they needed to lose a bit of timber but, if it didn’t, I would say that they could do with losing even more of the ‘relaxed’ muscle.  But I can’t, so I won’t.  All this stuff I’m not allowed to do or say! Very frustrating.  Not right for a free spirit like me.  So, all in all, my coming to live with my humans has been a win, win situation.  I imagine that they are very, very thankful.  Well, wouldn’t you be?

Hello world, it’s Jessie!

Hello all!  Yes, it’s Jessie!  I’ve got my very, very, very happy tail on today because, after all the favourable comments I’ve received about my blog posts on: http://todayletstalkabout.wordpress.com , I’ve decided to get my own blog.  Exciting!!!!  I don’t know how I’m going to sleep tonight?!?!?

Please rest assured that this was done perfectly amicably.  No grief, no heartaches.  There’s no truth in the rumour that my man human is crying in a heap somewhere because I’ve moved on to better and bigger things.  It was inevitable, after all!

Anyway, so that you don’t think I’m being callous please, please, please still read his posts about ‘anything and everything’ on the ‘today, let’s talk about’ blog but, from now on, please come to: https://thejessiechronicles.wordpress.com to read about about all my doggie exploits.  Speak soon.

Love, Jessie X.

P.S.  I found my humans through Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.  You can see other doggie divas that are looking for a home at: www.battersea.org.uk .
